Pandit Shivrambua Vaze presents Ragas Maru , Malashree , Tilak Bihag & Kafi

Pt. Shivrambua Vaze - fondly known as Vazebua, inherited his music legacy from his father Ramkrishnabua Vaze. The father son duo were aptly known as "Belgaum Bhushan" by music lovers.

Born in 1909, Shivrambua Vaze started his career at a very young age of 4 when he played a traditional instrument called " Pen" in the Nageshi temple(Goa) and received gold coins as appreciation. He would listen to his father and once his father went out, he would sit in a closed cupboard and practice. Later he learned his music by accompanying his father on tanpura in concerts.

He was a top grade vocal artist of AIR and his programs were regularly broadcast from Dharwar, Pune radio stations. His music programs were also selected for national program and were broadcast from Delhi radio station. He passed away in 1963 in Belgaum not before leaving behind his rich legacy of Hindustani classical music of "Jodi-ragas".
